Membership
On 13 August 2004, the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Management) Decree (Dutch abbreviation: BEA) came into effect. The NVMP Foundation has set up a collective disposal system for the collection and recycling of discarded electrical equipment covered by the Decree.
Any manufacturer or importer may participate in this system, and can do so via a membership agreement.
On joining, the NVMP will not only ensure the collection, transport and
environmentally-friendly recycling of your discarded (collected) equipment, but
will also take care of the registration, reports and the guarantee obligations
from the product foundation on behalf of the government. This means that when
participating, virtually all your legal obligations are taken care of by the
NVMP.
Present
They can do this by joining one of the following foundations:
♦ White Goods Foundation
♦ Brown Goods Foundation
♦ Foundation for the Removal of Central Ventilators
♦ Foundation for the Disposal of Electrical Tools
♦ Foundation for the Recycling of Metal and Electrical Products
♦ Netherlands LightRec Foundation
The membership agreement between a participating company and
these Foundations governs the legal relationship between them.
